{"id":3308,"date":"2021-04-14T08:30:44","date_gmt":"2021-04-14T08:30:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ascef.com\/?p=3308"},"modified":"2021-04-22T10:48:07","modified_gmt":"2021-04-22T10:48:07","slug":"foment-ascef-collaboration-recovery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ascef.com\/en\/foment-ascef-collaboration-recovery\/","title":{"rendered":"Foment and ASCEF start collaboration to promote involvement of the Catalonian family business in the European Recovery Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>Catalonian family businesses represent 88,3% of all private companies, deliver 69% of gross value added (GVA) and create 76% of the private sector employment.<\/li>\n<li>Alliances among business entities help identify opportunities and guide access to European funds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Barcelona, April 14th, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The President of <u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foment.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Foment del Treball<\/strong><\/a><\/u>, <strong>Josep S\u00e1nchez Llibre<\/strong>, and the President of the <u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ascef.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Catalonian Family Business Association (ASCEF)<\/strong><\/a><\/u>, <strong>Amadeu Jori Armengol<\/strong>, have subscribed a collaboration agreement between these entities <strong>to jointly promote the program <u><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/strategy\/recovery-plan-europe_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Next Generation EU&#8221;<\/a><\/u> among Catalonian Family Business<\/strong>. Both presidents are betting on <strong>the public-private cooperation among different organizations as an effective tool to facilitate access to European funds<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>We should all work together on the way to economic recovery. <strong>The family business has an important reach in Catalonia, therefore a relevant role both in the economic framework and the social environment<\/strong>. In these exceptional times, collaboration and cooperation among institutions and enterprises will be the backbone of economic reconstruction and social transformation<\/em>&#8220;, stated <strong>S\u00e1nchez Llibre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile,<strong> Jori Armengol<\/strong> underscored that &#8220;<em><strong>family businesses stand out for their long-term commitment, overt willingness to create value and employment, and their ability to adapt and innovate<\/strong>. This is why we can be an example of how to leverage the funds through committed and future-oriented projects<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of this agreement, <strong>Foment and ASCEF will work to dig into the opportunities that the European funds may provide across the Catalonian family businesses<\/strong>. Another of this alliance\u2019s main goals is <strong>to align companies with the contents of the global action plan of Agenda 2030 and make the plan\u2019s SDGs a strategic part of their businesses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The subscription act was attended by the Director of the Business Section and Responsible for Parliament and Public Administrations of the Catalonian Employer&#8217;s Association, <strong>Benet Maimi<\/strong>, and its Networking Director, <strong>Carme Castellnou<\/strong>.
