{"id":2120,"date":"2020-06-27T12:21:06","date_gmt":"2020-06-27T12:21:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ascef.com\/?p=2120"},"modified":"2020-07-17T12:29:35","modified_gmt":"2020-07-17T12:29:35","slug":"commitment-family-businesses-cronica-global","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ascef.com\/en\/commitment-family-businesses-cronica-global\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cFamily businesses are committed to the country\u2019s recovery from the pandemic\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The President of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ascef.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u><strong>Catalan Association of Family Businesses (ASCEF)<\/strong><\/u><\/a>, Amadeu Jori, and Jaume Alisa, the Secretary of the ASCEF Board, were interviewed by <a href=\"https:\/\/cronicaglobal.elespanol.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u><strong>Cr\u00f3nica Global<\/strong><\/u><\/a> to discuss <a href=\"https:\/\/www.damoslacara.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u><strong>#DamosLaCara (<em>We show our resolve<\/em>)<\/strong><\/u><\/a>. This is a citizens\u2019 initiative promoted by employees and employers from all over Spain that enhances the engagement of employees and employers with the whole of society, in addition to publicising the effort and important work that family businesses are undertaking throughout the country through their economic and social contributions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em><strong>Family businesses are committed to the country\u2019s recovery from the pandemic<\/strong>. We want to make ourselves visible and press the different public administrations into taking us into account at the present time and <strong>implementing strategies that activate the world of work<\/strong>,<\/em>&#8221; Mr Jori said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that &#8220;<em>90% of Spain\u2019s business community are SMEs and this 90% provides 76% employment in Catalonia<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Mr Alsina told the newspaper that &#8220;<em>it is important for things to be made easy so that SMEs can grow because many laws do the opposite<\/em>.&#8221; He expressed his support for public-private collaboration, and for its projects not to be linked to a &#8220;<em>four-year horizon<\/em>&#8220;. &#8220;<strong><em>If we extend the vision to beyond one parliamentary term, we will be making great progress<\/em><\/strong>,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>ASCEF is an entity established in 1998 and comprising over 100 companies representing the Catalan business community. Its members play an important role in the country&#8217;s economy as they are committed to wealth creation, employment, the region and sustainability.
