{"id":2078,"date":"2020-05-19T12:17:27","date_gmt":"2020-05-19T12:17:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ascef.com\/?p=2078"},"modified":"2020-07-17T12:35:38","modified_gmt":"2020-07-17T12:35:38","slug":"restaurant-7-portes-covid19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ascef.com\/en\/restaurant-7-portes-covid19\/","title":{"rendered":"Restaurant 7 Portes: \u201cThese weeks have been really tough but family businesses know how to adapt and survive\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><u><a href=\"https:\/\/7portes.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Restaurant 7 Portes<\/strong><\/a><\/u>, a gastronomic benchmark of the city of Barcelona and recognised internationally, is a family business run by Francisco Sol\u00e9 Parellada that has been connected to his family for over 200 years. &#8220;<em>Shutting because of the State of Alarm was one of the toughest moments of our lives,<\/em>&#8221; he says. &#8220;<em>I was born in the restaurant and it is has a big part in my life story.<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Now, with the restaurant ready to reopen, these past weeks have allowed him to reflect on \u201c<em>what we do and how we do it. And also how we will do it from now on<\/em>\u201d. This is a process in which the whole family and the restaurant team have taken part. Despite the difficulties, Mr Sol\u00e9 says that the process has been &#8220;<em>very encouraging<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant owner believes family businesses know how to adapt and survive. &#8220;<em>That\u2019s why we have already planned the opening according to how the situation develops,<\/em>&#8221; he says.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 640px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><!--[if lt IE
